CFX_RawSocket is a Java Custom Tag for the Macromedia ColdFusion Application Server that gives you (the developer) a way to open a server socket (HTTP or SSL or others) to a remote internet host.
Unlike ColdFusion's CFHTTP tag, which restricts you to using the HTTP protocol, you can construct and send your own complete messages using CFX_RawSocket. Customize message headers, post and receive XML documents, including over SSL! Many XML services (such as UPS E-Commerce Tools) require raw socket connections over SSL to talk to their system. With CFX_RawSocket, your ColdFusion application can do this.
Who is CFX_RawSocket for?
- Are you a ColdFusion Web Developer?
- Do you need to post raw data (such as XML, WDDX or SOAP messages) to another server over HTTP or SSL?
- Do you need to view, edit or construct your own message headers when talking to an HTTP or SSL server?
CFX_RawSocket extends the capability of ColdFusion Server to allow your application to do all of these.
How Much Does It Cost?
The compiled binary version of CFX_RawSocket is free for all developers and for any website development project as long as you do not resell it. If you are building commercial software that you intend to resell, your company must license the software from IEXP in order to include it in your product. Licensees have full access to source code. The cost is $299.00 for a commercial license, no support included. To order click here.
