IEXP Email (POP3) Account Specifications and Information

  • All IEXP POP3 Accounts are hosted on UNIX Servers.
  • We do not have any storage quotas (limits) for mailboxes.
  • We ask that you remove messages from the server once you have read them to keep server storage space free.
  • There is a maximum file size limit of 10 MB (10,240 kb) on any given email message. Note: if you are sending a large email message that doesn't exceed our limit, the recipient's mail server may reject it anyway if it exceeds their limit.
  • Any non-industry standard mail headers are automatically stripped from all email messages.
  • Sending of SPAM (unsolicited bulk email) through our system is strictly prohibited and IEXP will immediately disable any account found violating this rule. Users found in violation of this rule may be subject to penalty and/or legal fines.
  • Email attachments are scanned and specific file formats are automatically removed to reduce the risk of email viruses. Currently the following file types are automatically removed from all email messages: *.bat, *.hta, *.js, *.vb, *.wsf, *.wsh, *.shs, *.scr, *.lnk, *.pif, *.com, *.exe. If you send email through our system with one of these file types attached, the attachment will be removed, but the email message will still be delivered with a notice that the attachment was removed. If you need to send attachments that have one of these file extensions, please archive your files using a program such as WinZip and attach the archive file to your email instead.
